LIVE 07 :: Festival of Scouting
Here is your opportunity to review the Centenary year of Scouting in the salubrious surroundings of the O2 Dome (formerly the Millennium Dome) and see one of 3rd Hampton Hill’s finest amongst those taking part!
LIVE 07 is our Festival of Scouting, an extravaganza to celebrate the best of Scouting in 2007. It’ll be the perfect opportunity to reflect on our Scouting history, remember the fun times in 2007 and look towards the next 100 years and beyond. Two epic shows will be held in The O2 arena in London, with a capacity of 15,000 per show, to bring together all the elements of Scouting in 2007 in one day, in one place.
From the minute you arrive at The O2 arena it will be like stepping into a Scouting themepark, with circus activities, bands and other exciting performers mingling with the crowds. The event will bring together over 3,000 Scouts from all around the country to take part in LIVE 07’s line-up. There will be performance items from all Sections to bring you a fast moving multimedia spectacle with elements from the World Scout Jamboree, Brownsea Island, local Scouting events, Scout bands and award presentations from famous ex-Scouts.
The event will appeal to everyone, no matter what your age, culture, faith or Scouting background. It’s about involvement – not just something to watch, but something to be part of! The matinee performance (tickets selling fast) is at 1.30pm and the evening show at 6.45pm lasting about 3 hours including the interval. Prices range from £12.50 to £15.00 for under 14s and £17.50-£20.00 for adults.
We will not be organising a group trip to this event, but you may well want to go as our very own Alexander Lloyd will be taking part with the rest of the Replica Camp participants that enjoyed the Centenary on Brownsea Island in July/August.
If you’d like to book, See www.scouts.org.uk/live07, alternatively, you can call The O2 arena box office on +44 (0) 20 8463 3351 to pay by credit or debit card. Please note that you will need to leave a message on the answer machine and an O2 representative will get back to you. The message will say you are calling the ‘special requirements line’ – please be assured this is the correct number.
