Cubs visit gurdwara Sri Singh Sabh in Hounslow
First of all, it must be said that you guys and gals were on top form on Monday at the Gurdwara, Wend and I were totally impressed by everyone. So a big THANK YOU for being on best behavior and showing just how great 3HH Cubs are.
I had a great time, I hope you all did too, it was certainly very interesting and the Chapatis and Dhal was lovely……
A couple of points that I thought stood out were that the attitude and beliefs of the Sikh faith are pretty much the same as our own and others and similar to the aims of the Cub Scout law and promise. For example, respecting each other and looking after our things. Being kind and helpful. Treating each other equally and fairly. Sharing and giving (especially food!).
I’m sorry that a few of you couldn’t make it, but not too worry – why not click on the photo to see what we got up to?… Special mentions to Gregory and Lily for taking part in the 5Ks demonstration!
If anyone feels like writing a thank you letter then please give this some thought and bring it along next week. Will will be writing a general thank you from the Group, but it would be great if we can put in something from some of the Cubs too. Thanks must also go to John, Simon, Diana, David, Kirstie and Linda for helping out on the night and of course to Geeta for making all the arrangements and setting up the visit.
Back to normal Wednesdays for the rest of term now, I think the only other extra night is the Hampton Hill Christmas Parade on Friday 30th November that we will be taking part in as normal.
Finally, if anyone still wants to enter the 60th Anniversary Badge competition then we need your entries in soon!
Cheers all, have great weekends.
Jon
