Southern 50 Challenge Endurance Hike

The Southern 50 Challenge Endurance Hike is an annual event held in Feb each year. It is an endurance hiking event over the Chiltern Hills. Hampton Explorer Scout Unit got a mention in this years event . . .

. . . at the other end of the spectrum, the first team to set out were four Explorer Scouts from Hampton in Greater London South West, named ‘Don’t Worry, We’ve Got a Window’. They proved to have real staying power as they were the last team to finish in 22 hours and 22 minutes, spotting daylight breaking as they completed their event at 04:47 hours on Sunday morning.

This is a very challenging event! (I know, I’ve taken part 6 times! My longest time was 22 Hours and 2 minutes). Fantastic achievement – well done for sticking with it!
