Awesome efforts on the Scouts Night Hike
A quick post to say how well all the Scouts did at last weekend’s Night Hike event. This was our biggest ever entry with 28 Scouts forming 5 teams… by far and away the biggest contingent there.
The Scouts should feel particularly proud that of the 41 teams entered from across South West London, just 30 made it around the course – including every single one of ours. This is a great achievement especially since we had a large number of Scouts in our teams who have only joined us fairly recently.
While we didn’t come away with any trophies this time, it served as an outstanding building block for the future with lots of new skills and practice now under our belts.
Also a massive thanks to those who came along and helped make the the event happen. Without adults standing around on frozen check points ensuring everyone is safely accounted for, ferrying Scouts to and from the campsite, or getting up with the sparrows to make a million bacon sandwiches none of this would have been possible. Thank you.
