Date for the diary: Scout Expedition
As some forewarning, we’re aiming to run a joint event with the 7th Hampton Scouts to earn our Expedition Challenge badge. The dates are Friday 30 October – Sunday 1 November 2009 Saturday 24 – Monday 26 October 2009 which falls at the end beginning of the October half term (please note that these dates now need to be confirmed – watch this space!).
The intention is to have the Scouts walk from the 3HH HQ to the designated camp site about 8 miles away on the Friday, spend the weekend honing their navigation skills, playing games and building / sleeping out in bivvy shelters, and rounding off the weekend with a return hike back to the 3HH HQ on the Sunday.
