Recruitment of Adults into Key Roles – an Update

Our Highest Priority is to recruit a Treasurer – We must fill this role from 01/04/2014. With the current Treasurer still around, the sooner we have a volunteer the easier the handover will be. Typical Hours/week: 2 at most. This varies depending on the time of year. You do not need to be an accountant. No prior knowledge is needed but being IT savvy is helpful. We can provide a full role/job description along with a complete handover from the current Treasurer. Training, guidance and support will all be offered/provided as needed. This role works very closely with the Subs & Membership Secretary.
Impact of not doing this: This is an Essential/Mandatory Group Role which MUST be filled. The Group cannot operate without a Treasurer.

Our Second Priority is a Subs & Membership Secretary – We must fill this role from 01/04/2014. With the current Subs/Membership Sec still around, the sooner we have a volunteer the easier the handover will be. Typically 1 hour/week is required at the start of each term with some follow up towards the end of the term. We can provide a full role/job description along with a complete handover from the current Subs & Membership Secretary. Training, guidance and support will all be offered and provided as needed. This role works very closely with the Treasurer.
Impact of not doing this: This is an essential Role which MUST be filled as the Group cannot operate effectively without someone filling this position.

Beaver Scout Section – some good news . . . we have successfully recruited some adults to help with Beavers! However, we are still looking for another 1-2 people that can ideally regularly commit about 1.5 hours, 2-3 times per month to help with our lively and fun Beaver Section Meetings and also get involved with helping to plan/organize the programme (this would be as part of a team, working with the existing leaders, both Beaver Colonies run the same shared programme). We need a minimum of 2 adults to cover each meeting each week. In return we can offer you some Training (if you need/want it), plenty of support, advice and lots of fun! Plus the satisfaction of doing something which is rewarding.
