3rd Hampton Hill (St. James) Scout Group

3rd Hampton Hill (St James) Scout Group has 2 Beaver Scout Colonies, 2 Cub Scout Packs and 2 Scout Troops. The group is very successful and active and has grown steadily since 2002.

How much does it cost? The subs are £35 per term or £100 per year, (to qualify for the annual rate subs must be paid in the September preceding the year). There is a £20 initial joining fee and a £20 Sectional Transfer fee. Membership to the entire Scout Movement is fully inclusive, so if money is the only issue stopping you from joining us, please contact us and arrangements could be made.
Wow! Another year – Again we grow and continue to thrive. In fact, the group is even bigger as this does not include the fantastic support and help from our energetic Young Leaders and Hampton Explorer Scout Unit. Our numbers (total Group size) for January 2009 stand at 156 (steady growth this year of 7). The main areas of growth are with Scouts, as we opened the second Scout Troop in November 2008, plus additional adults (Skills Instructors and Sectional Assistants).
This growth presents a number of challenges but also increased opportunities.
All Sections continue to enjoy a very active and varied programme – both weekly and extra curricular opportunities, activities and events all of which help to develop our young people and adult leadership.
