Here is your opportunity to review the Centenary year of Scouting in the salubrious surroundings of the O2 Dome (formerly the Millennium Dome) and see one of 3rd Hampton Hill’s finest amongst those taking part!

LIVE 07 is our Festival of Scouting, an extravaganza to celebrate the best of Scouting in 2007. It’ll be the perfect opportunity to reflect on our Scouting history, remember the fun times in 2007 and look towards the next 100 years and beyond. Two epic shows will be held in The O2 arena in London, with a capacity of 15,000 per show, to bring together all the elements of Scouting in 2007 in one day, in one place.

But for 3HH the partying doesn’t stop in 2007. 2008 will also be a big year for us; it will be our official Diamond (60th) Anniversary!

!! PLEASE HELP!!

Date: Sunday 29th April – 9am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm
Event - Walkorun funday, a 2.5k and 5k race with loads of other activities, inflatables and stalls etc
Where: Claremont Fan Court School, Esher.
Who: Scout, Adults, cubs and beavers very welcome if with adults
Why: They will give us a donation towards our centenary year costs. The more volunteers we can offer the more money we get!
What do I have to do: help run the different stalls and activities, man the water stations during the run.
How long for: You do not have to commit to the whole day but a minimum of 4 hour stints please.

As you all know we are asking you for a lot more money this year than we usually do, this is a fantastic opportunity to reduce our costs. Please, please come and help.

2007 is an exciting year for everyone as we will be celebrating 100 years of scouting. A World Jamboree is being held to celebrate the occasion. It will be a mammoth explosion of all things scouty. 3HH will be there – Andy W has successfully negotiated his way through the selection process, and some of our leaders are sharing their knowledge as part of the service team. Those not able to go to this Jamboree will not be left at home. We will be joining the district for our own party.

Thanks to Sheila L’s hard work the group have won the huge sum of £4353 to help pay for some of the canvas the section leaders have been crying out for. It was courtesy of the Lottery’s ‘Award for All’ programme.

We were all there, joining in the activities. The scout leaders threw themselves into the spirit and dressed up for the occasion.
