Hopefully you will now have noticed and made use of the newly resurfaced pathway which takes you to the George Stanley Hall (the 3rd Hampton Hill Scout Headquarters). The completion of this task is a major achievement and will be of significant benefit to all users of The Hall. A very BIG THANKS must go to John W and Martin R for all their efforts and hard work in planning and organising this task. Many thanks also to all those that gave their time and worked so hard to finish this job.

Ouch – 20 tonnes of tarmac to shift!

At last we hope to see the end of the annual “boggy pathway and soggy shoes” experience. :-)

The beginnings of a new path emerged today.

Unfortunately due to recent rain the delivery truck wasn’t able to drop the load of new tarmac straight onto the pathway as hoped, but instead left it at the entrance to the main playing field. The only option was a load of “willing” volunteers and a fleet of wheelbarrows.

You can click on the picture to see more blood, sweat and tears…

But – we’re just about half way there now… With another 20 tonnes being delivered in a fortnight ready to start all over once more! ;-)
