3rd Hampton Hill Minibus Hire
At 3rd Hampton Hill we have our own 16 seater minibus. While our main objective is to provide transport facilities primarily for the 3rd Hampton Hill Scout Group and Peake Explorer Scout Unit, the minibus can also be hired by Scout and Guide Groups and other Non-Profit Organisations within Richmond-upon-Thames.
The minibus can carry a maximum of 16 passengers plus driver. It also has a wheelchair ramp that allows it to carry 1 wheelchair passenger and maximum 12 seated passengers plus driver.
Hire Policy
Our minibus is at the same time a wonderful asset and a significant liability. Proper operation of the vehicle is essential and for that reason we have set down some rules for its use. Please note that our minibus is not available for private hire by individuals; it must be used to provide transport for an organisation on a ‘not-for-profit’ basis, under Section 19 of the Transport Act 1985.
Hire Costs
3rd Party hire costs of our minibus are:
- Half Day (including evening hire): £25
- Day Rate: £50
- Weekend Rate (Friday – Sunday): £125
- Four Days: £150
- Weekly Rate (7 days): £250
A £150 deposit (covering our insurance excess) is required for every booking. This will be returned to the hirer when the vehicle is returned clean, undamaged and with a full tank of fuel. These rates will be subject to annual review.

Please note, if the dates you require are marked as “not available” on the booking calendar then the minibus has already been booked for part or all of that time – but you will not be able to see details of those bookings.
