Nature’s Little Artists

For our second Beaver session of the Autumn term, we headed outdoors for a creative activity inspired by artist Andy Goldsworthy, while also working towards the Beavers’ Outdoors Activity Badge.

The Beavers explored outside and collected natural materials including conkers, leaves, sticks and other interesting finds. They then used what they had gathered to create their own pieces of outdoor art.

There was plenty of imagination on display, with creations ranging from Minecraft-inspired designs to marshmallows roasting over a campfire. The Beavers also enjoyed showing one another their artwork and explaining the ideas behind their creations.

It was a lovely session combining creativity, time outdoors and an appreciation of the natural world, with lots of enthusiasm and sharing along the way.

A big well done to all our Beavers, and thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the session such fun. We’ll be printing a few of their masterpieces for our Beaver display so everyone can admire their work!
