What It Costs

Scouting is an affordable way of providing a range of exciting and adventurous activities for your child.

In a 2010 survey, 75% of parents said Scouting provided the best value for money compared to other extra-curricular activities like sports and martial arts groups, youth clubs and drama or music classes.

As a non-profit organisation, we charge the follow fees:

  • Subs per term: £50

These fees covers the upkeep of the meeting place, essential insurance costs, the cost of running the scouting programme and so on. Trips, camps and extra activities are charged separately.

We don’t want young people at 3rd Hampton Hill to miss out through financial hardship. If concerns about finances may prevent your child taking part in Scouting or some activities, please speak to one of our leaders, as some assistance may be available in confidence.

All the adults offer their time on a voluntary basis.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
