3HH at the NPL Bushy House Cake Sale!
A big thank you to everyone who participated in this event by providing cakes or giving up their time on the day to run our pop-up cafe.
On the morning of Friday 19th, we had a few cakes. By Saturday morning we had a massive amount. A fantastic response to our request for cakes and scones.
On the day we were incredibly lucky with the weather, and this was reflected in the number of people desperate for a cake and drink! So much so that we had to send out for top-up supplies (thanks Norma!)
We had over 50 people helping out, Adults, Explorers, Scouts, Cubs and even a few Beavers helping out. Although everyone was working incredibly hard, we all kept their sense of humour and continued to deliver a fantastic service. This was reflected in the number of very positive comments from NPL volunteers and members of the public – thanks to all!
So how did we do?
Our income for the day was £2,638 (£990 cash and £1648 card) and our overall profit was an incredible £2088!!. An amazing addition to our funds which will be put to good use.
This was a team effort and thank you to everyone who was part of that team.
