3rd Hampton Hill at the Hampton Hill Lights Up Parade 2024!
The holiday spirit was alive and well as the 3rd Hampton Hill (3HH) Scout Group joined in the festive fun at the Hampton Hill Lights Up Christmas parade! This much-anticipated annual event brought the community together to celebrate the season, and our Scouts were front and centre, making a magical impact.
A Sweet Success with “Honey Duke’s”
This year, the Scouts ran their very own sweets stall, charmingly named “Honey Duke’s” after the iconic shop in the Harry Potter series. The Scouts worked hard in the weeks leading up to the event, crafting a range of delicious, Harry Potter-themed treats. From chocolate frogs to Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans (with a fun twist), their creativity and effort truly shone.
The stall was a hit with visitors of all ages, drawing in Potterheads and sweet lovers alike. The Scouts took turns manning the stall, practicing their customer service skills and sharing plenty of smiles. Thanks to their hard work and the community’s support, “Honey Duke’s” raised a fantastic amount for the Scout group—funds that will go towards future activities and adventures.
On Parade
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the parade itself. The Scouts proudly marched down the high street, waving flags and spreading cheer to all who lined the route. The atmosphere was electric, with twinkling lights, festive music, and the buzz of excitement from the crowd.
It was a proud moment for the troop as they represented 3HH with enthusiasm and camaraderie. Decked out in uniforms and festive accessories, they were a shining example of the spirit of Scouting.
A Night to Remember
The Hampton Hill Lights Up Christmas event was more than just a parade or a fundraiser—it was a celebration of community, teamwork, and the joy of giving. Our Scouts demonstrated the best of Scouting values, from their teamwork at the stall to their cheerful participation in the parade.
