Beavers Take Action at Holly Road Rec! 🧤
Our Beavers proudly joined the Big Borough Clean Up and made a real difference at Holly Road Recreation Ground. It was a beautiful day filled with energy and enthusiasm as our young people dashed around every corner of the park, collecting litter of all shapes and sizes.
They learned how to use litter pickers safely and followed important guidance—avoiding glass, sharp objects, and anything unpleasant. With teamwork and determination, they helped transform the park into a cleaner, safer space for everyone.
No corner was too tricky! They reached into the toughest spots, pulling out plastic, paper, and cans. The litter pickers helped them navigate through bushes and free up roots and stems tangled in rubbish. Thanks to our amazing parent volunteers, every child had a chance to take part safely and confidently.
By the end of the day, our Beavers were beaming with pride as they filled three big bags of litter. A huge thank you to Richmond Borough for this fantastic initiative and for providing the equipment. Our Beavers were proud to make a difference—and we couldn’t be prouder of them!
