Beavers Fun Day 2023!

Date: 11th Oct 2023 Author: Matt Rogers

On Saturday the 23rd of September, our Beavers had a wild time at the Jungle themed fun day, held at Walton Firs Campsite. Plenty of energy was needed for games battling snakes and crocodiles, tracking creatures in the woods, building forts, and moving like animals through an obstacle course! Their artistic side had chance to shine, with animal book marks and paper plate leaves and jungle decorations. A firm favourite was the ‘make your own pancake’ base, carefully prepared by the Beavers and cooked on top of the fire, the results were delicious! The day closed with jungle songs around the campfire. We had some very happy Beavers!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
