Squirrels Week 2 – Welcome Back, New Friends and Forky Fun! 🐿️

Date: 27th Jun 2025 Author: Matt Rogers

This week at Squirrels, we kicked off Week 2 with big smiles and even bigger energy as we welcomed back familiar faces — and a few new ones too!

To start the evening, the Squirrels proudly found their self-portraits from Week 1 and stuck them up to show they were here and ready for another fun-packed session. It’s already becoming a lovely tradition to see their artwork proudly displayed each week.

Then it was time to get creative! Using wooden forks, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and lollypop sticks, the Squirrels brought their imaginations to life by making their very own Forky — a brilliant little model person full of character and charm. We loved seeing how unique each creation turned out!

Of course, no Squirrels session is complete without games — and this week’s were full of laughs and movement. From an adventurous obstacle course, to The Floor is Lava, and the ever- chaotic Cones and Volcanoes, the room was buzzing with excitement.

We wrapped up with our favourite B-R-A-V-O chant and the much-loved Goodbye Squirrels song, sending everyone home with smiles on their faces and glitter on their sleeves (sorry, grown-ups!).

We’re already looking forward to Week 3 — more fun, more learning, and more moments of Squirrel magic.
