Water Rockets at the NPL 2023

On the sunny evening of June 21st, 2023, a group of enthusiastic scouts embarked on an exhilarating adventure at the National Physical Laboratory’s (NPL) Water Rockets Competition in Teddington! With refreshments readily available and the weather providing the perfect backdrop, the scouts were in for an evening filled with excitement, teamwork, and soaring rockets!

The NPL had meticulously organized the competition, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants. The atmosphere was vibrant, as teams from various scout groups gathered, showcasing their creativity and scientific knowledge The scouts wasted no time in setting up their rockets, carefully assembling and preparing them for launch. The competition aimed to challenge their engineering skills and teamwork as they designed and launched their water-propelled rockets into the sky.

During breaks between launches, the scouts had the opportunity to mingle with other groups, sharing tips and stories of their experiences. The refreshments provided by the NPL kept everyone energized, ensuring that spirits remained high throughout the day.

As the competition progressed, the scouts’ passion for science and exploration became evident. They eagerly exchanged ideas and techniques, learning from one another and embracing the spirit of friendly competition. The event fostered not only their interest in rockets but also their sense of collaboration and problem-solving skills.
